Improving Sustainability in High Temperature Processing
There is a consistent disconnect between the current trajectory of CO2 emissions and what climate science largely agrees is required to limit the severest effects of climate change. The lack of change can make one feel despair. High temperature processes are energy intensive and can have a significant carbon footprint but can also play a substantial role in CO2 reduction. This talk aims to describe examples of current challenges in high temperature processes and CO2 reduction initiatives that we have implemented at Washington Mills.
