About The Speaker

Joelle Javier, BASc., M.Eng.

Joelle is a dedicated engineer, holding a degree in Material Science Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University. Her primary focus lies in the domain of amusement rides and elevating device safety standards. Her professional efforts are dedicated to advancing safety through safety regulations, innovative design, operational best practices, and educational initiatives. Joelle has been fortunate to collaborate closely with regulatory authorities and actively contribute to the ASTM F24 code committee for Amusement Devices. She also humbly serves as an instructor for esteemed organizations like NAARSO and AIMS International, contributing to industry growth. She currently works in her role as an engineer with the Elevating and Amusement Devices Safety Program at the Technical Standards Safety Authority (TSSA), where she strives to make a positive impact on safety.
